Born on November 20, 1984, to Dr. S.B Opatola and Mrs. M.B Opatola in Washington, D.C., he grew up to touch lives in profound and meaningful ways.
Early Life and Education
David, as he was fondly called, graduated from Sickles High School in Tampa, Florida, in 2002. He went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida in 2006. His academic journey culminated in a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University in 2014.
Career
An expert in his field, David had a distinguished career in engineering. He worked for prestigious companies, including Rockwell Collins (now Raytheon Technologies), Leidos, CGI, and L3Harris Technologies, where he was employed until his untimely passing. His contributions to the field were not just technical but also deeply rooted in his ability to mentor and inspire those around him.
Family
David is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Opatola, and their two beautiful children, Sophia and Jeremiah, who were the apples of his eye. He also leaves behind his parents, Dr. S.B Opatola and Mrs. M.B Opatola, his sisters Titi and Tosin, his brothers Kayode, Muyiwa, and Niyi.
Hobbies and Interests
A passionate sports fan, David's love for Liverpool Football Club, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Los Angeles Lakers was second only to his love for his family. He had the ability to turn any casual game-watching event into a mini-celebration, adding joy and excitement to those around him.
