Patricia Ann Spangler, 62, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on August 22, 2026. She was born on May 22, 1964, in Baltimore, Maryland, and grew up in Jessup before moving to Glen Burnie in 1989, where she made her home and built a life filled with family, laughter, and many special memories.
Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Rodney “Rod” M. Spangler. Together, they shared a life and created a family that meant everything to Patricia.
She was a devoted mother to LaKina Jones and her husband, Scott, but perhaps her most treasured role was being “MiMi” to Mason and Abbigail. Patricia loved her grandchildren fiercely. They were the light of her life, and she took great joy in watching them grow, spending time with them, and making memories that they will carry with them always.
Patricia worked in quality control for an insurance company and eventually retired. She had a love for all things Disney and enjoyed going on cruises. She could often be found working on a Paint by Numbers project, putting together a puzzle, watching Hallmark, HGTV, or the Discovery Channel, or trying her luck playing slots. She also enjoyed gardening with her sister Susan, sharing time together and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Patricia was a loving sister to John Parrish and his wife, Renee; Margaret Kerns and her husband, Brian; and Deborah Anderson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jordan and her late husband, Phil, and her brother, Richard Parrish. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Patricia will be remembered for the love she had for her family, the joy she found in the things she loved, and most of all, for the special place she held in the hearts of her daughter and grandchildren. Though she is no longer here to share in life's everyday moments, the memories she created with those she loved will live on. Her family will carry her love with them always, especially Mason and Abbigail, who will forever know just how fiercely their MiMi loved them.
