Pearl Susie Getz

Pearl Susie Getz, age 98, of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away peacefully, on Thursday, July 28, 2022. Pearl was born November 8, 1923 to parents Hollis Harry and Susie Baker Higgins. Pearl was the beloved wife of John James Getz, Jr. and the devoted mother of John J. Getz, III of Glen Burnie, MD and Gary A. Getz (Mandy) of Glen Burnie, MD; dear sister of Dorothy Higgins and the late Nelson and Harry Higgins and Lillian Curran; loving grandmother of John Getz, IV (Pam) of Sparks, MD, Michelle Trakas of Pasadena, MD, and Kristi Samuel (Luke) of Pasadena, MD; cherished great-grandmother of Tyler Getz of Sparks, MD, Rachel Getz of Ellicott City, MD, Jack Getz of Sparks, MD, Corinne Trakas, Erin Trakas and Megan Trakas all of Pasadena, MD. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at which time a Celebration of Life Service will begin.
