Forever missing you pappy. I can’t believe I have almost been here without you for as long as I got to be here with you. I miss you chasing me around the basement in your wheelchair and always letting me sneak down for a glass of milk. Always supporting every dance recital I had. I wish you were here to see how much everything has changed, I hope you’re proud of all of us. We miss you more than you’ll ever know, but I know you have the best seat watching this family you created expand. Until we meet again, I hope you & nanny are keeping Cory & Sam under control!  I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too, I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame, your memory are a keepsake, from which I will never part.

A very special note to Mr. Ralph Carter! Thank you for welcoming me into your family! Like you said it was about time! I want you to know that I really appreciate the love and kindness you showed me from the very first moment I met you and Shirley! I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised at the reaction from you. I did not know what to expect. Well, I got nothing but love, respect, and made to feel welcome whenever in your presence. For this I will always be thankful! When Shirley was suddenly called home, you were a rock! I knew you were saddened and probably felt alone without her physically being there. You wanted to be strong for the rest of the family. Well, its OK to want to see her again; to be with her again! The kids will be OK! They will miss you, but rest assured you will live on in their hearts. I will take good care of Randy! God bless and thanks again!

I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

 That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
 God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

 It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

 God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not  be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dad what an amazing father/grandfather you where. I cherish every day I had with you. My heart broke seeing you suffer so much and even though I never wanted to lose you I couldn't stand to see you suffer anymore. I know you are in a better place. You can finally be with Mom and Sabbath. Losing you hurts me so much. I love you so much. Thank you for everything. I know you left this world knowing how much you where loved.

I will miss making Big Ralph breakfast for lunch.  Always the same, 3 eggs over easy, 3 strips of bacon, and 2 pieces of light toast with butter and jelly.  Every time I fry an egg, I will think of Big Ralph.  I will miss him.
