Our beloved Rita JoAnn Wren departed this earth February 4, 2025. She had suffered a long illness. Rita leaves behind a sister, Arlene Rollins, brother in-law, James A. Rollins, MD and Lacey Rollins, Niece. Her parents, William G, and Juanita R Wren and her sister, Laverne Ann, precede her in death. She leaves behind her cousin, Reverend Perry Moore and his children Ricardo Moore and Angie Moore as well as a host of other family around the country.
Rita was a graduate of Morgan State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Home Economics. She would later go on to obtain a Master’s degree in Education and spent her life teaching and developing young minds.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 1) on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A Graveside Service and Interment will be held at Maryland National Memorial Park, 13300 Baltimore Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707 on February 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
