Robert Ray Moore Sr (Bob/Uncle Bob), 82, of Edgewater, Florida formerly of Severna Park, Maryland passed away peacefully on October 24th 2022 at home surrounded by his family.
Bob was born April 2nd 1941 in Morgantown, West Virginia to Earsie and Ray Moore. He is preceded in death by both parents, his sister Betty Pitts, sister in law Pat, brother in law Bucky, sister in law Patty, Sister in law Gina and nephew Kevin.
He had a passion for woodworking and could make anything from a piggybank to a curio cabinet. Gambling was one of his favorite past times. He had weekly poker nights and loved taking everyone’s money. More recently, you could find him on his computer playing poker. Bob was a huge Republican and was very passionate about his country. If he wasn’t talking about politics, you could find him talking about sports. He loved the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. But no matter what, Bob loved a good conversation and enjoyed sharing stories. Bob also loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Every holiday big or small he hosted cookouts for anyone and everyone. He loved steaming Maryland style blue crabs. One of his last phone calls was to his crab guy. Even in his last few days, he was planning a way to get his family together. His dedication and love for his family was with him until his very last breath.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Moore, whom he met in 1959 when they both worked in a Baltimore City Bakery. When Bob first laid eyes on Mary, it was love at first sight. The first thing he told Mary was “I’m going to marry you”. She laughed and brushed him off. Bob was very convincing and when he wanted something he did not give up. After many attempts of asking her out, Mary finally said yes to a date and the rest is history.
He is also survived by his sons Robert Moore Jr, Michael Moore, daughter Paula Ann Moore, his grandchildren Nancy Didio, Robert Moore III, Rebecca Goedderz (Matthew), Adam Hogrell (Jerica), Sarah Hogrell (Casper), great-grandchildren Connor Goedderz, Chandler Lao, Xavier Goedderz, Hendrix Hogrell and Maddox Goedderz. As well as his brother Roger Moore and many nieces and nephews.
Bob touch many lives more than he could ever imagine. He was an amazing man and will be missed my so many.
