On Tuesday, August 13, 2013, Rose Marie Mertes of Halethorpe, MD, formerly of Catonsville, MD. Wife of the late Robert “Bob” J. Mertes. Loving mother of Teresa “Terry” M. Mertes-Huber and her husband Frank and Robert J. Mertes, Jr., loving and devoted friends Cynthia Jensen and Alma "Tootsie" Dibble; sister of Anne L. Scarza, Mary L. Mertes and William R. Miller, Jr.; loving grandmother of Elliott Huber, Heather Zanchietta, Natalie Mertes and Rachel Erin Kopajtic. She is also survived by her great-grandson Calvin Stokes and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Elkridge, MD at 10:00 am. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
