Shuying Wang, aged 79, passed away surrounded by family on February 4th, 2022, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born to Shifu Wang and Shen Xiulan in Anqing, Anhui on February 27, 1942. She married Yechao Qian at 22 years old, and had 3 sons (Liping Qian, Lizhuan Qian, and Ping Wang).
Despite the impoverished conditions of the countryside, Shuying proved to be a pillar of support and joy for her family, community, and generations to come.
In China, Shuying was the primary caregiver for all of her grandchildren. After following her youngest son to the United States in 2001, she and Yechao became permanent residents.
Finding joy and contentment in the smallest things, Shuying lived a life of simplicity and happiness. She never failed to share love and wisdom with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the type of person to find joy and contentment in everything, and as such, Shuying lived a life of simplicity and happiness. Everywhere she went, she brought with her a sense of lighthearted optimism and a glowing smile.
She is now reunited with her late husband, and is survived by her sons Liping, Lizhuan, and Ping; their wives, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
