Steven Douglas Little, age 68, of Hanover, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Washington DC, to the late Robert Little and Ida Mae Little. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Cheryl Little, his son Steven Jr. (Melissa), daughter Jamie (Scott) and two grandsons, Chuck and Donald, his brother Mike Little (Sue), as well as aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins, all whom he held dear.
Above all, Steve loved being called “Grandpop”. He shared a special bond with his oldest grandson Chuck. Together they enjoyed trips to Dave & Buster’s arcades, rounds of mini-golf in Ocean City, going to Orioles baseball games and Down’s Park to see the turtles. Steve adored his newest grandson Donald and was so happy to witness some of Donald’s first smiles.
Truly a man’s man, he was not always quick to express emotion, but the depth of Steve’s love for the people in his life would always show through in an act of service or a quiet word at the perfect time. Steve’s impact on his friends, family and community has been evident in the outpouring of love from all those who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage our friends and family to make a donation to a charitable organization of their choosing. We also request that anyone who is able, to consider donating blood, plasma or platelets at your local American Red Cross Blood Donation center. Steve was the beneficiary of several donors' gifts, and we will forever be grateful for the additional time they gave us with Steve. With love, The Little Family
