Suzanne Irene Brown

Suzanne Irene Brown passed away peacefully at her residence in Selbyville, Delaware, on June 19, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born on March 31, 1938, in Crisfield, Maryland, she was the daughter of James Mason and Hazel Mason (Nelson). She spent her childhood years growing up in Brooklyn, Baltimore, and later made her home in Savage, Maryland, where she and her beloved late-husband, George, raised their son, Mike.

Known affectionately as "Grammy" to her four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, Suzie's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted son, Michael Brown and his wife, Beverly; granddaughter Lara Muller and her husband, Christopher, and their children, Alexander and Gabriella; grandson Kevin Brown and his wife, Briana, and their children, Isabella and Jack; granddaughter Michelle Grimes and her daughter, Destiny; and granddaughter Melanie Wilson and her children, Timothy, Matthew, and Clara.

Suzie had a vibrant spirit and a love for life. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and country music, line dancing with friends, and even taking the stage during Ocean City SunFest celebrations. An exceptional cook, she found great happiness in preparing meals and hosting family gatherings, ensuring everyone felt welcome around her table. She especially enjoyed hosting Super Bowl parties, bringing family and friends together for good food, laughter, and maybe a few glasses of wine. Suzie also enjoyed eating out and could be found with a margarita in her hand, followed by dessert. She loved to travel and explored much of the United States with George and their son, Mike, creating treasured family memories along the way.

For many years, George and Suzie enjoyed being "snowbirds," splitting their time between Maryland and their second home in Florida. Their marriage was a true partnership built on devotion and unwavering love. When George became disabled and relied on a wheelchair, Suzie lovingly became his full-time caregiver.

Determined that his physical limitations would never diminish his quality of life, she ensured he continued to enjoy an active, fulfilling, and joyful life. Together they remained active, social, and deeply devoted to one another throughout their senior years.

Suzie will be remembered for her caring heart, dedication to family and friends, and the love and laughter she shared so freely with all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion.
