Suzanne “Suzi” was born in Allaine, France to Léon Lucien Lafosse and Marie Eugénie Bagard on November 4 1938. Suzanne grew up in Nancy, France and was the 6th child of the Lafosse family.
Suzanne and her daughter Marlene spent time in France & Germany before finally moving to the United States in the 1970s where Suzanne worked as a private duty nurse. Suzanne was proud of her French culture and always kept her Cross of Lorraine close to her heart. Suzanne was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, especially French cuisine. Coq au vin and escargot made in her own snail shells from France were among her specialties. Suzanne enjoyed knitting, loved animals and her French music, and loved the sunshine & trips to the beach- it’s no wonder the day she passed was a 97 degree day. Suzanne was a beautiful, fun loving woman who enjoyed life.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her spouse Mallory Edgar, and her siblings, Paulette Lafosse, Clotaire Lafosse, Léon Henri Lafosse, Raymonde Lafosse, and Germaine Lafosse.
Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Marlene Day, two grandchildren, Lisa Day Salibrici and Matthew Day, and three great-grandchildren, Ethan Day, Christian Day, and Gracelyn Salibrici.
Suzanne’s family will be holding private services. A celebration of Suzanne’s life will be held on November 4th 2018 to honor her 80th birthday this year.
