Tanya Ann Green

Tanya was the middle child and only daughter born to Natalie Ferguson. She was born in Miami, Florida on 22 December 1971. Tanya confessed her life to Christ and was a testament to His glory and grace.

Tanya attended the Miami-Dade public school system in Miami Florida where she graduated in 1989. After a short break following high school, she joined the United States Air Force in December 1989. She proudly served her country as an active duty Airman for nine years and was honorably discharged in 1998.

Tanya was dedicated to supporting the Department of Defense and was fortunate to have had a fulfilling 32 year combined military and civil service career. While Tanya enjoyed absolutely every role she had during her tenure, her greatest joys were being a mom, having the most amazing friendships, and quietly taking every opportunity to help others without public recognition.

She was preceded in death by her older brother, Keith Arnold Ferguson.

Tanya leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughters, Jordan Brianne Green of Woodbridge, VA, Jayla Michelle Smith of Hanover, MD and Yasyrys Trinity Smith of Hanover, MD; mother, Natalie Ferguson of Perry, GA; brother, Donnie Doctor Jr; and niece Dahni Yasmine of Brighton, England, along with many members of her extended family. Along with a host of friends, as well as a few, that God saw fit to bring in her life whom she cherished and loved with all of her heart.
