Our beloved Thu Mai—a deeply loved sister, aunt, daughter, and friend—went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the age of 50. Her absence leaves a space in our hearts that words cannot fully express.
If there is one thing you could always be sure of about Thu, it was how deeply she loved the Lord Jesus. Her faith was not simply something she believed; it was at the heart of who she was and how she lived.
Thu loved to serve God, her family, and the people around her. She found joy in giving of herself and caring for others, often through quiet and simple acts of love. Whether she was preparing a meal, helping someone in need, or caring for children, serving others was simply part of who she was.
Life is not measured only by the number of years we are given, but by the love we leave behind. Thu leaves behind a love that will continue to live in our memories, around our family tables, in the lives of those she served, and in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
We grieve because we loved her deeply. Our sorrow is great because our love for her is great. But we do not grieve without hope. We hold tightly to the promise of Jesus:
“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.”
— John 11:25
For those who belong to Christ, death does not have the final word. This earthly life is temporary, but our home with the Lord is eternal.
The hands that served so faithfully can now rest.
And the one who loved the Lord so deeply is now with the One she loved.
Thu spent her life loving and serving the Lord. Though our hearts are broken to let her go, we find comfort in knowing that her suffering is over, her work on this earth is finished, and she is now home with her Savior.
Until we meet again in the presence of our Lord Jesus.
