

Timothy E. Phelps Sr. was born on January 25, 1939, in Baltimore. He passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 86.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie Phelps, with whom he shared 45 years together and 42 years of marriage. They met at Tim’s brother’s wedding in 1980 and were married on July 23, 1983.
He is also survived by his children: Debbie (Mike), Jeannette (Bryan), Pam (Kenny), Timmy Jr., Marcy, Chucky (Gina), Tommy, and Tammy.
Tim was the proud grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
He was born to William Calhoun Phelps Sr. and Helen Wilhelmina Phelps (nee Miller). He was predeceased by his brother, Bill. He is also survived by his siblings: Rosemary, Joe, Dave, and Ed.
In his younger years, Timothy worked as a pipefitter, a trade that reflected his strong work ethic and hands-on skill. He later enjoyed a long career with Johnson Controls, where his reliability and expertise were deeply valued. In his later years, he continued to stay active, working for his family’s landscaping business, where he took great pride in being part of the family’s work and enjoyed helping it grow.
An active and athletic man, Timothy enjoyed skiing and tennis in his younger days. He found joy in boating, golf, fishing, and kayaking. A lover of country music, he was also a talented musician, playing the guitar, he owned six guitars over the years.
A true family man, Tim’s greatest passion was his family. He cherished the time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Tim lived in Crownsville, Maryland, for over 20 years in the house he built with his own hands. He later moved to Milford, Delaware, where he had a home built and resided for 18 years until his passing. He also spent many enjoyable moments with family and friends at his travel trailer at Treasure Beach in Fenwick Island, DE.
Tim will be remembered for his love, warmth, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him. His legacy of devotion to his family and passions will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
