I always knew that Bill was smart (always used to win at Trivial Pursuit), but it wasn't until after he passed that I realized just how smart he really was.  Listening to the people who he worked with, I heard how he was immensely respected at his job. This was both for his knowledge as well as his professionalism.  

I loved Bill dearly and will always remember his warmth, extreme kindnesses and that adorable smile and dimples. 

Patty and Lauren, I cannot find the words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss.  I know you feel you will never be the same since he is gone, but please remember that Bill would only want you to be happy, safe, contented, joyful and loved even though he is not still on the earth. Every time you see an eagle soar, think of Bill.

My heart has a large "empty space" in it since Bill has passed.  He was a wonderful wonderful man: a great and generous brother-in-law and funny and kind uncle to my 2 children.  

He was not a man of many words, but spoke "volumes" with his deeds and kindnesses.  I have so many wonderful memories of him through the 41 years that I had known him.

Patty, when I first met Bill, you had just met him.  You brought him to meet me and Rich in our college apartment.  My first impression of him was a very positive one. Patty, I was so happy that you had met someone so obviously  fond of you.

As several years passed a funny story sticks in my head. Bill had spilled his plate of spaghetti and sauce on Mom's carpet and wallpaper.  Patty, you, Mom and I laughed and laughed; Bill was SO embarrassed. 

We all shared so many happy times together through the years.  Your trips to New Jersey to visit us, trips down to Wildwood Crest and Nags Head.  The trip to New Jersey with the two new Irish Setter puppies and Bill and I saw the bear cub.  The giant candy bars that would come in the mail for Margaret and Michael after Halloween.  The endless supply of pimento cheese spread when I came to visit you all. The lush, gorgeous geraniums that he got every summer for your home. The endless number of beanie babies and Christmas village pieces he collected. 

I will always treasure the trip to Morgantown I was treated to so that I could be a part of Lauren's "Masters Graduation". We had such a great time that weekend.

Just recently, the wonderful lunch Bill treated us to the last weekend I ever saw him.  Even though he didn't feel good, he went out with us to lunch.  That day was special as Cara had just come home for Thanksgiving and she joined us.  We ate a wonderful dinner in the dining room with the beautiful "William Sonoma" dinnerware he purchased for your beautiful home.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I have heard a lot about Bill - as an authority of MITA related matters. He helped me numerous times in clarifying my doubts. Then I got a chance to work with him at NJ. He was such a knowledgeable and polite person with lot of patience.  Our thoughts are with you and your family during these difficult times.

It is very sad to hear of Bills death. May God watch over you at this time.

Patty and Lauren, my condolences on your loss. I knew Bill professionally for about ten years and he was a wonderful colleague. He clearly adored you both and spoke of you often. He will be missed.

Our condolences to Bill's family.  I worked with Bill during his tenure at Cognosante.  His knowledge and expertise will be missed as well as his calm demeanor.  Thank you Bill for your guidance and mentorship.

I have know Bill as a fellow worker and friend for at least 35 years. He was one of the nicest people I know. Lauren and Patti were the lights of his life. He was Lauren's proud Father, regaling us with Lauren's accomplishments as she grew into a beautiful young woman. I will miss him greatly. My sympathy to Patti, Lauren and his family.

Bill was a good friend and colleague to all who had the privilege of working with him. He was always thoughtful and gracious, and went out of his way to help other people. Typical of him, the last time we communicated, he offered to pick me up at BWI and give me a ride to a meeting he wasn't even attending. When Bill spoke about his work, everyone greatly respected his professional opinions although he did not speak loudly or promote himself; when he spoke about his family, we knew he loved them very much.  Bill's life made a difference in those of others. I am grateful to have known him.
