To Agnes and her family,

I've said this to others, but it is worth repeating here for you:

My father helped teach me to be a good and caring person; Ned Eakle helped teach me to be a good and caring public employee. And while Howard County owes Ned a debt of gratitude, so do I.

Debbie and I send our condolences to you all.

My grandfather was by far one of the most amazing people I have ever known. He was smart, witty, and had a great sense of humor. I love you and miss you.
