

Charlotte Ione Holmes passed away quietly in her home Sunday, January 29, 2012. Charlotte was born in Phoenix, Arizona on October 17, 1938 to Cecil and Florence (Lynch) Mills. She married her high school sweetheart Raymond James Holmes on March 2, 1956 and graduated from Glendale High School in June of that same year.
Charlotte worked for various small and large electrical companies, starting in the mid 1960’s for General Electric and Boeing before putting in some 25 years at Mannesman Tally in Renton, WA. Even after her retirement Charlotte enjoyed working at Erwin’s Mini Mart in Enumclaw and Ken’s Auto Wash and Smitty’s Conoco in Ellensburg. She loved the contact with her “regulars” as she called them.
Charlotte was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and most recently scrapbooking. She shared her many loves with her family and was a great support to each and every one of them.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ray and her parents.
Charlotte is survived by her two daughters, Zora (Ken) Peterson of Ellensburg and Jurene (Ray) Stuart of Enumclaw; grandchildren, Danae M. Robertson and her fiancé Russ Cramer, Brandon (Nicole) Robertson, Grayson Kovar, and Parker D. Stuart; one great-grandchild, Colt James Cramer; her brother, Tom (Pam) Mills of Peoria, Arizona; and her sister, Margaret Ann Swarens of Puyallup, WA.
A memorial service will be held in Ellensburg on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11AM at Steward & Williams Tribute Center. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 1PM in Enumclaw at the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Friends of Ellensburg or the American Cancer Society, P.O. 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
