Frances Fran Michele Romeo

Frances M. Romero went to our Lord on March 30, 2017. She was born January 26, 1922 in the Province of Cassaro, Italy and immigrated into the United States through Ellis Island with her parents at the age of two.

At age 17, she met the love of her life, Vincent L. Romeo. With the onset of WWII, their plans were put on hold until their marriage on November 17, 1946 in the Bronx, New York. They enjoyed life together for over seventy years.

Family always came first, she was homemaker and mother. She loved being around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Paula A. Romeo. Fran is survived by her loving husband Vinny, her daughter Lucretia (Jim) Taylor of Ellensburg, WA, her grandchildren David (Molly) Taylor of Moxee, WA and Melissa Petersen of Ellensburg, WA. She has four great-grandchildren; Tiffany Stewart, Brock Taylor, Taylor Petersen, and Caleb Petersen. They were all the light of her life.

Frances was a loving and caring person and will be missed by all who knew her. “A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.” -Cardinal Mermillod

An 11:00 am memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Ellensburg, WA.
