On the early morning of October 22, 2013, our loving Mother was taken to dance with our Lord while in her sleep. Marcia was born in Havana, Cuba January 9, 1954 to Antonia Godoy (June 2, 1999) and Juan Pendas (December 16, 1990) both of whom preceded her in death along with her granddaughter Michelle Pendas (September 2, 1997). Marcia came to America at the age of 12 where her journey began in New Jersey taking her through Florida, California and Nevada with her family setting residence here in Ellensburg. She returned to Cuba on a few occasions always remembering where she came from and where she had been. Mama lived out her days next to her loving husband of 17 years Earl (Don) Fuller, cooking, listening to music, reading the funnies in the paper and shopping at thrift stores while helping her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren blossom in life.
We were all touched by her beautiful heart, contagious smile and laugh. Whether she knew you or not, Mama greeted you with a smile and a loving hand even if you just sat with her in silence, you felt her love and strength radiate.
Marcia is survived by her husband Earl (Don) Fuller of Ellensburg, daughter Maria Pendas of Tacoma, son Ruben Lupio of Tacoma, daughter Alicia Flores of Ellensburg, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Thursday, October 31 at Steward & Williams Tribute Center from 5-8pm. Friday November 1, a viewing will be from 9am until services at 11am followed by procession to the IOOF cemetery with celebration of life at the Hal Holmes Center afterwards. Our family invites and welcomes all to come and remember Marcia for we know she touched the hearts of many.
