Norm was called home to the Lord on August 25, 2012. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, papa and friend to all. His unexpected passing has left a huge hole in many lives that will be hard to fill. He was a fun loving, hardworking man that made a difference in so many lives. He had his hands in many areas of the community and was always willing to pitch in and help in whatever way he could. He was the third generation in the Cook family to be in the “dirt” business and it was his real true love after his family. He was a man of many talents. He built a beautiful motorhome out of a transit bus and he built three “little Kenworth” one ton trucks from the ground up. There was no truck that he could not fix or restore. He loved to be in the shop working on projects with his kids and that is where a lot of memories were made.
He was preceded in death by his son Kevin and by his mother Janet.
He is survived by his wife, Beth; two sons, Geoff (Heather) Cook and Jason (Charity) Cook; his daughter, Lisa Cook; father, Harold Cook; sisters, Karen (Bob) Pearson and Cathy Markee; mother-in-law, Margaret Gittins; three grandchildren, Graysen, Dylan and Landon Cook; many cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends that were considered family.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 3PM in the Ballroom of the Suncadia Lodge. You will live in our hearts forever. Cascade Funeral Home is in care of the funeral arrangements.
