Zeke Smith

Zeke was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, on March 1, 1926. He grew up and attended schools in Twin Falls. He joined the Marine Corps in 1943 and took part in the invasions of Iowa Jima and Saipan in WWII. In 1950, he graduated from the University of Idaho and married Lucille Jean Pugh of St. Maries, Idaho. Zeke purchased the Ellensburg Credit Bureau in 1961 and has been an entrepreneur in the valley ever since except for a brief five-year holiday in Arizona.

Memorial Service will take place at Ellensburg First Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012. Cremation is under the care of Steward & Williams Tribute Center.

Zeke is survived by his wife, L. Jean Smith of Ellensburg; sons, Michael William (Lana) Smith of Ellensburg, Washington and Patrick Lawrence (Jean Marie) Smith of Seattle; grandson, Robert Michael Smith (Lois) of Kittitas, Washington; and a darling great-grandson, Owen Robert Smith.
