

~She was the 3rd of 9 children and the oldest daughter.
~She quit school at age 16 to make her own way in the world.
~She married Phillip Lee Crotty during World War Two. She had 4 children and one adopted child.
~She moved the family to Florida in 1955 because of her oldest son's health issues.
~She had an incredible memory and a strong business sense.
~She started a day care nursery for children and ran it for over 30 years. Her day care center was the first in Broward County to have a certified Kindergarten on site.
~She bought and sold real estate and rented out many of her properties.
~She cared greatly for family, friends and the community around her. When she saw people with hard luck, she would help them as her father did during the great depression.
~She had a fear of water but learned to swim when she was in her fifties.
~She was a courageous woman who took risks and worked hard to help her family and those around her.
~Reaching the age of 95, she was the oldest of any within her immediate family, though she had dealt with many health issues.
~She is survived by her sisters: Agnes King, Argail Harrison, and Helen Kelly. Her surviving children are Janie Lynn Robinson, Paul Crotty, Debbie Crotty, and Jon Crotty. She is also survived by four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
~At the time of her death she shared a home with her life partner, Isaias Araiza.
She will be missed by a great many.
