Al was a long time friend from our home town of Amsterdam NY. I have many fond memories of our years spent working together in the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.As my First Sergeant, he was always ready to step forward with a helping hand! Al, may you Rest In Peace.

Al Black was about taking care of people.  As the 109th Consolidated Aircraft Maintnenace First Sergeant he did just that!  I have many great memories working with Al in the Orderly Room, Honor Guard details and of course planning and executing the CAM Sq Christmas parties.  May God Bless you all during this difficult time.

Al got me interested in the Honor Guard program at the 109th when I first arrived, and I eventually took over the program.   He would be proud of that program today and the men and women who pay respect to our fallen comrades with honor and dignity.  I have fond memories of Al.   RIP!
