Our Dear Mother went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2023. She was 82 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arturo Sr and her son Ricardo Silva; Barbara leaves behind her three children, Arturo Jr, Raquel and Alicia; her sister, Janie Angel; her brother, Isabel Alvarez Jr.; Nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
Barbara was hard working, raised her children with morals and advice on life and was quick witted with funny answers to those she was comfortable with. Her faith was strong and we are comforted in knowing we will be reunited again.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, FL 34222. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will occur Tuesday, December 12, 2023, 11 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 505 26th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221. Interment will take place following church services at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, FL 34222.
