Heaven received another angel on Monday, May 3rd, 2010. Bernice June Young, 86, of Bradenton, was a mentor to most people who were fortunate enough to have crossed her path in life. Stoic and compassionate, she possessed one of the greatest constitutions to guide her loved ones in the most positive direction. Selfless and giving to those deserving, June will be sadly missed by all who were graced by her loyal and loving personality. She instilled in our family the values and morals from days gone by. June was sharp and witty and was a great judge of character. She was employed by Manatee Memorial Hospital and Sam’s Wholesale Club. But most importantly her greatest achievements revolved around her family and friends. Baseball was one of her passions. We all miss her physical presence already!
The pain of living grew too great;
No longer could she stay and wait.
She did not want to leave you, dear,
But she had finished her work down here.
To peace and freedom in the sky,
Where never again will she suffer or cry,
Think of her there as a soul that is free,
And Home at last, where she wanted to be.
It’s all part of God’s Great plan…
Survivors include six blessed children, Richard Young, Karen Campbell, Dennis Young, Pamela Delk, Kimberly Copeland and Jeffrey Young; fifteen blessed grandchildren and three blessed great grandchildren.
A Remembrance Gathering will be held from 6–7:00 PM on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Mansion Memorial Funeral Home, 1400 36th Avenue, East in Ellenton, with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 PM.
