I an honored to say that God orchestrated it for Mike Fox to invite me into the Suburban Propane family 9 years ago when he hired me, and for that I am grateful. Our first year working together was rough but as time went on I grew a great respect and appreciation for Mike as a boss and as a dear friend. His personality was contagious, his spirit was enlightened and his heart was overflowing. I think back to his love for music and how he would BLAST Eminem in the office after hours, swearing he would be the next great white rapper. He quickly earned the nickname Fox Diddy, aka P. Diddy. God prompted Mike to just be real with people; to be himself with all his little quirks and people would draw to him like a magnetic force. He was a walking testimony of great faith and fearlessness. He seemed to soak up every beautiful moment this life has to offer and didn't take it for granted. The peace that must be over Mike as he dances in Heaven is overwhelming to consider. The fun everyone else must be having since Mike has joined them makes me laugh out loud!! Love you Fox Diddy! Looking forward to hanging with you in Heaven one day :)

I had the great pleasure of knowing Mike his entire time at Suburban Propane. When Mike came to the Suburban team he came to my location for training. The truth is Mike taught me more than I ever taught him. I am still using some of his sales techniques today. However, the best part about working with Mike was the friendship that developed. As many of you have shared Mike was an amazing friend. Mike and I would talk on a weekly basis. We always spent a little time on business and a lot of time on our friendship. I miss my weekly phone calls with Mike but I will cherish those conversations forever. I will be praying for Mike's wife and children during this difficult time.

It has been a joy to be friends and coworkers with Mike. He has always been a man of great integrity and a wonderful sense of humor. As he battled cancer, I also saw a man of great faith and strength. On Monday he won that battle, cancer has lost its hold. For us, we will have a time of grief from missing our friend, but I know that he has no grief or pain. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. (Psalm116:15). I know that he is rejoicing in the presence of the Father. For us weeping will last for a short time, but at a time, we will have joy for having known our friend.

I worked with Mike at Suburban Propane in Virginia. I enjoyed our time together on each of his visits. He made me a better Sales Rep. We worked hard & played hard. Mike was a very genuine person. He loved his family & kids. He would always stop & buy a small gift for one of his kids before flying back to Florida. He would always strive to push his Sales Team to be their best. He wanted to win each day. I'm glad I had the opportunity to work for Mike. He will be missed by many people that he touched this side of heaven. May we all have that desire to live like we are dying & touch someone in a special way each day. Since I retired in June 2018, I have had time to reflect on life after work & do the important things like spend time with family. Enjoy each day that God gives us. Be blessed. We are praying for Mike's family & friends. Let's all remember our memories we made from knowing Mike Fox. God Bless!!!
