A lifelong resident of the Sarasota and Bradenton area, Cindy deeply loved her community and took great pride in her roots and the people who shaped her life. She graduated from Manatee High School and continued her education at Manatee Vocational Technical School. She spent many dedicated years working as a veterinary assistant, combining her compassion and love for animals into a career that reflected her gentle and caring spirit.
Family was the center of her world and her greatest joy. They meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent together. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, and some of her most treasured hobbies and memories included being in nature, going to the beach, trips to Steinhatchee, photographing beautiful sunsets, riding horses in her youth, Sunday dinners growing up with her family, playful antics and adventures with her cousins and best friends, going to the fair and concerts and roadtrips to North Carolina with Bobby and Michael. She loved her family and friends fiercely and was deeply loved and adored in return.
Cindy had a natural wit and a playful, teasing sense of humor that kept everyone smiling. Her laughter was contagious, her smile could brighten any room, and her joyful spirit drew people in. She had a special gift for making others feel important, loved, and truly seen — a gift that will always be remembered.
Cindy was a faithful and devoted Christian whose life was anchored in her love for the Lord. She was a member of Palm View Baptist Church. Her faith sustained her through life’s blessings and its trials. Even amid significant health challenges, she demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience, never giving up and always maintaining a heart full of gratitude.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Jane Proctor and Richard Rohr, and by her husband, Bobby Taylor, the love of her life. She is survived by their son, Michael Taylor, her pride and joy, of whom she was immensely proud.
She was a loving and devoted mother, not only to Michael, but also to her two cousins, Nicole and Alexandra, whom she helped raise. She gave them unwavering love, guidance, encouragement, support, and comfort which has left an everlasting imprint on their life.
Though her earthly journey has ended, her faith assures us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, where she has found eternal peace alongside all of her loved ones in Heaven. Cindy will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and her legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
