Donald E. French, Sr. was born in Massena, New York to Ernest and Bertha French. At the age of 18 he married Phyllis Kitts to whom he was a devoted spouse until she passed in 2008. Donald passed away on October 23rd, surrounded by family, who he dearly loved.
Donald was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the United States Postal Service. He loved baseball and never missed an Atlanta Braves game.
Donald is survived by his sons Donald, Jr. (Colleen) and Michael (Lisa), his sister Janice (Bart) McGregor, his brother Gerald French and his grandkids Cameron, Madison, Bailee and Grant French. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m at the Groover Funeral Home located at 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, Florida 34222.
