Donald Anthony Rielle

Donald Anthony Rielle, 72 passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at home, in the presence of his loving wife of 53 years Beatrice Constantine. Don was born in Plattsburgh NY on June 19, 1950, to Dennis "Sam" Rielle and Ruth Brown- Hawkins, both deceased.

Don attended Our Lady of Victory Academy in Plattsburg NY and is a graduate of Holyoke Community College with studies in Business Administration. He married the love of his life and best friend, Beatrice Rosalie Constantine at Nativity Church in Willamansett MA on October 25, 1969. Don and Bea raised 2 adoring daughters Constance Ann and Samantha Lee in Holyoke MA.

Don worked at Holyoke Hospital for 20 years, where he started in the Receiving Department and moved on to the Accounts Payable Department where he was able to apply his passion for numbers.

Don had many hobbies throughout his life. He enjoyed drawing and photography. He spent many hours and miles riding his Diamond Back 14-speed bicycle throughout New England, New York, and Florida contributing to 5 charity rides. Don and Bea fulfilled their dream of living in Flordia when they moved to Brandenton/Palmetto area in the summer of 1998.

While living in Florida, Don joined the Loyal Order of the Moose in March 2004. While at the Moose, he was a Moose Legion Chairman where he was awarded the Degree of Fellowship in 2012. He was actively involved in raising money and donations for Mooseheart/Moosehaven, St. Jude, and Toys for Tots.

Don leaves behind his wife and 2 daughters. Eldest daughter Constance Ann Gazda of West Springfield MA, (Kenneth Gazda) Granddaughter Jacklyn Rose, Great- Grandsons Kam'Ron McLaughlin and Keeng McLaughlin Daughter Samantha Lee Angers of Chicopee MA (Jon Angers) 3 grandson's Tyler Joseph, Daniel Rollin & Warren Nathaniel. As well as his last surviving sibling Dennis Rielle, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins across the US.

Don was predeceased by his sister Theresa Rielle of Plattsburgh NY and Paul Rielle of Kansas.

In lieu of flowers Don's wishes are to send donations in his name to St. Jude, Hospice of Tidewell or Mooseheart charities.

A gathering of family & friends for Donald will be held Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, FL 34222, followed by a celebration of life service at 12:00 PM.

A second celebration of life will be held in Chicopee MA at a later date.
