Elaine Mary Weir

Born Elaine Mary Pegolizzi, Elaine was born January 25th, 1944, in Dedham Massachusetts, to Sebastian and Mary Pegolizzi. She had an older brother, Francis, now deceased. Elaine’s oldest son, Scott, also preceded her in death.

Elaine is survived by Bill, her husband of 57 years, also of Parrish FL, her youngest son Brian, his fiancé Jessica, and her granddaughter Maria all from Palermo, NY.

A graduate of Dedham High School Class of 1961, Elaine and Bill married in 1965 and shortly after settled in Canton, Massachusetts. There, Elaine, was active in the United Church of Christ, including serving as Church School Director. Elaine also spent many years in the Cape Cod Area before moving to Parrish. While in Parrish, Elaine became involved in Stephen Ministry through the United Methodist Church. She worked the Front Desk, part time at Dayspring Episcopal Conference Center until her death.

Elaine loved to play bridge, had countless friends, a fulfilling relationship with her church, and a love of family and travel.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Elaine, on Thursday December 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church, 12180 US-301, Parrish, FL 34219.

Elaine loved animals, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society or ASPCA.
