

Eli J. Schwartz passed away on a Sunday morning in Sarasota, Florida, September 4th, 2022, just one day before his 79th birthday. He was born to Jake J.B. and Nancy (Hostetler) Schwartz on September 5th, 1943 in Burton, Ohio. The family later moved to Geneva, Indiana where Eli graduated from Berne-French Township School in 1962.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Marylin (Mast), and son Donny Schwartz.
He is survived by his brothers Jake, Willy, Mel, John, Sam, Dan, and Robert Schwartz, and sisters Lydia, Nancy, Betty, Barb and Mary.
He is also survived by his sons Lavon, Jeff, Lynn, Clyde, Jason, Kevin, Zoe, and Nathan Schwartz, and daughters Marylin, Jill, Pam, Jenny, Nina, Jade, and Alysia. It must be noted that Eli and Marylin were blessed with many more adults, children and grandchildren in their home that they would gladly have called their own, and that list would be much longer then there is room for here! (You know who you are, and please don’t feel forgotten.)
Eli adapted to many trades to provide for his steadily growing family. In the Middlebury area of Indiana he worked thru out the RV manufacturing industry from houseboats and pop-up campers, to trailers and motorhomes, to conversion vans and mobile homes. He also made time to become a graduate of the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies. His final line of work included roofing and Tubular Skylights in Sarasota, Florida.
A memorial/celebration of life service is being held at Sarasota Community Church on September 24th, 2022 at 11:00 am. The church is located at 4041 Bahia Vista St, Sarasota, Florida, 34232. A time for visitation and viewing will precede that at 10:00 am, and will be followed by a fellowship meal at noon in the Community Hall.
His final resting place will be with Marylin, his wife, at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, FL 34222. In care of Groover Funeral Home. (941) 722-6602
