Everett H. Lee, a beloved patriarch, devoted husband, and proud veteran, passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on November 9, 1932, in Winter Haven, Florida, Everett's life was a testament to hard work, love of family, and dedication to his community and country. In 1971, Everett moved to Palmetto from Orlando, where he quickly became an integral part of the community. He was a man of many talents and passions, including fishing, woodworking, and boating. Everett found joy and relaxation in these hobbies and shared his skills generously with family and friends.
Everett's commitment to his country was evident in his service in the Navy during the Korean War. His bravery and sacrifice were a source of pride for him throughout his life.
Professionally, Everett established a three-generation family furniture upholstery business, which he started with passion and dedication. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in every piece he worked on, and his business became a cornerstone of the community.
Everett was preceded in death by his two beloved wives, Lois Lee and Mavis Lee, his daughter, Vicki Wade, and two grandsons, Greg Wade and Shaun Celestey. He is survived by his son, Ronny Lee, and wife Debbie; daughter Barbara Perrine, and husband Brian; daughter Paula Celestey, and husband Vic; grandchildren Shawn, Cody, Eric, Tara, Sam, April, and Jason; and nine great-grandchildren. He was a source of strength and inspiration to his family, who will cherish his memory forever.
A remembrance service to celebrate Everett's life will be held at Groover Funeral Home at 10am, on July 15, 2024. Burial to follow at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your local VFW, in honor of Everett's service and dedication.
Everett H. Lee will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, hard work, and generosity will continue to inspire future generations of his family and community.
