Born 2/5/14, Clinton, IA, died 7/1/15 in Hospice care in Sun City Center where he resided since 2006. He served in Navy in WWII, retired after 35 years as letter carrier. He was preceded in death by wife of 72 years, Margaret Dierks, and grandson, Robb Morris. Survived by daughter Marcia Morris (Gary), granddaughter, Mary Rubley, (Terry), great grandsons Tyler & Travis, and great granddaughter Kaylee Morris. He was a quiet, independent man who loved to read, excelled at card games, bowled, golfed, and with his wife of 72 years, danced to the Big Bands and drove all over the USA visiting many friends and relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to SCC Emergency Squad. Visitation at 10:00 am followed by service at Groovers Funeral Home in Ellenton, FL.
