Frank Roy age 86, passed away on Oct. 3, 2016. Frank was born in 1930 in Norwalk, CT. He was a veteran of the Berlin Airlift and Korean War. He is retired from construction and is known for his carving, woodworking and painting. Frank was in the Elk Lodge of Palmetto 2449 and American Legion Post 273. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; son, Peter; sister, Doris and brother Robert. Frank is survived by two children; Gail (Stephen) and Michael (Vicky); Nine grandchildren, Sharon, Laura (Russell), Miranda (Johnny), Christiana, Emilia, David (Robin), Brian, Karin and Frances (Jim). Three great grandchildren; Lilly, Johnny Jr and Shane. He is also survived by brother Roland (Marian), and sister Jean (Russell) and both of their families. Frank also is survived by Doris Davidson’s and Robert Roy’s family and many extended family members in the UK. Celebration of life will be on Oct. 22, 2016 at 12PM at Groover Funeral Home in Ellenton, Florida.
