Hiram Clark Saffold, 79, of Wimauma passed away on Monday, November 8 at Manatee Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday at 2pm in the chapel of Groover Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm until service time. Burial will follow at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Tim Durden will officiate the services.
Hiram was born in Bradenton on September 23, 1942 to Mary Ethel and Clark Maxwell Saffold. Hiram and his brother, Bill, started the family farm after high school. He loved his tractor and being on the farm with his brother more than anything. Hiram was a lifelong farmer for 60 years.
He is survived by his brother and best friend, Bill; many family members, friends, and farm community. Hiram will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pat, and brother, Wilmer.
