I cannot believe it has been six years since Art went Home to Heaven.  I am at peace knowing, he is "alive and well, saved and safe."    I have especially missed him this week.  Our last real conversation was while watching the Super Bowl together.  Art said, "A good coach watches out for his men and keeps them safe from being hurt."  Art should know, he was a good coach with his men too.  I love you, my brother.  I am thankful that you are surrounded by those who love you, and never alone.  

Mom and I cannot believe that it has been 5 years since Art went home to Jesus.  We are thankful that he is "alive and well, saved and safe" with dad and granny.  We are at peace and look forward to the future when we are all together again.  We do love and miss you so very much.

It is the fourth Christmas without you with us.  Art is always loved, missed and remembered by his family and friends.  Remembering you, makes us smile.  We are thankful that you are with our Jesus and we will see you again someday.  Love always, Mom and Dale and Darlene.

Mom and I went to Art's and Dad's graves Sunday, for Father's Day and Art's 68th birthday.   We left flowers and remembered how precious those two men are in our lives.   We are thankful to Jesus, that we had them as long as we did.  I am grateful that we will not miss them  forever.  Thanks to Jesus,  we will see them again.

Here it is, four years  after Art went home to be with Jesus.  Mom and I went to the family's grave site and placed Valentine flowers and a Rose flower made out of a baseball sleeve, from Darlene.  How we miss Art.  It is hard to believe that he has moved to Heaven.  I just am thankful that we will see him again and that he is "alive and well, saved and safe" with Dad and Granny.  Ron, a best friend of Art's, called.  We re-monist about how special a man Art was and is.  This year was a little harder than before.   We love you Art.

Here it is June 17, 2018, Father's Day and Art's birthday.  Art was born on Father's Day, 1951.  He was the only boy born that day at that Detroit hospital.  Mom and I went over to dad's and one of Art's "graves," to put on a bouquet of flowers.  It is hard to believe that dad has been in heaven for 30 years and that Art joined him 3 years ago.   It is comforting to know that they are both "alive and well, saved and safe," with Jesus and we will see them again.   We do miss them so very much.

Here it is Feb. 7th,  hard to believe that it has been three years since Art went "Home" to Jesus.  No longer in pain, "alive and well, saved and safe."  We all miss him so very much and look forward to being with him when we go "Home."  Tomorrow I head over to one of his "graves" to put flowers (also Darlene sent a lovely baseball themed rose).  

Just got back from Israel.  Had a chance to go to the lovely little garden where some of Art's ashes had been scattered last November.  The garden is so peaceful and the flowers are blooming beautifully. It was so good to be there with friends.  Also, celebrated Art's 65th birthday on June 17th there in Israel.  A time of special memories and contentment.  We miss Art so very much but we are at peace knowing that he is saved and safe with his Jesus.

Art's family continues to keep our promises to Art. The day after his memorial service, one third of his ashes were put into the Gulf. Where he worked, walked, prayed and enjoyed Bradenton Beach. Friends used their boat to take me (Art's sister Dale) and Ron (a longtime best friend of Art's and family) out to the reef (as mom watched from shore), just west of Gulf Drive Café, where he was manager for many years.  In November 2015, I went to Jerusalem, with permission I put one third of his ashes in the Prayer Garden at Christ Church, the oldest protestant church in the Middle East (a beautiful, quiet, peaceful place that he would have enjoyed). Also, part of his ashes were placed under his porcelain picture on his memorial stone. Then placed with dad's stone on mom and dad's cemetery plot at Groover Funeral Cemetery in Ellenton. Art continues to be remembered by so many as an honorable, helpful, and gentle man. Art is very much missed and loved by so many. Art, thank you for leaving such a great heritage and witness for Jesus. Always loved!

 February 7, 2016 is the first anniversary of our dear Art going home to Jesus.  Even though we know he is saved and safe, we miss him so much. I watched the DVDs of the Memorial Service and our time with Darlene at Universal Studio. How thankful I am, that I can watch you walk, hear you talk, and see you laugh and smile. It helps to have your voice. Art, you were not only my brother, you were my friend. You are always loved and never alone. Knowing that gives us peace.

Art was a truly good guy who over the years helped me manage my villa in
Bradenton. i could always count on his honesty, wisdom and absolute trustfulness. Nothing was ever a problem for Art, he was always so helpful
most importantly I consider a great friend and will always appreciate
knowing him. We talked at length in December & January, he was always
upbeat and made light of his struggle with cancer. My condolences to his family

I will miss a loving, gentle, fun brother who not only taught me to play baseball, but gave me a love for the game. May your Rays win this year!! Love and miss you Darlene
