A lifelong resident of Manatee County, Jan was preceded in death by her husband, John DeLesline, and her daughter, Jan (JJ) Hahn. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Tillett (Michael) of Terra Ceia; her son, John DeLesline (Monica) of Terra Ceia; and her grandchildren: Cody Hahn of Orlando, Amanda Hahn of Tennessee, Michael A. Tillett (Laura) of Brandon, Tony Tillett (Audrey) of Duette, William Tillett (Shayla) of Lake Placid, and JD DeLesline of Tampa, along with many great-grandchildren.
Jan was a 1954 graduate of Manatee High School and later the University of South Florida, where she earned a degree in education. She was a homemaker who enjoyed preserving food and working in her garden, where she grew many vegetables and roses. For more than 50 years, Jan and John welcomed friends and family into their home for a Christmas Eve Buffet that created lifelong friendships.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Palmetto High School FFA.
Jan's life will be celebrated at Groover Funeral Home in Ellenton, FL, on April 16, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
