Jean Ann Mercer, born in Newark, New Jersey, September 22, 1933, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2019 at The Windsor of Bradenton Assisted Living. Jean was a long-time resident of Manatee County where she lived with her loving husband, Milton, for many years. She retired from Schering-Plough of Kenilworth, New Jersey and has since donated her time in Florida to Manatee Memorial Hospital Guest Services. A dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jean is survived by her five children, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Jean’s loves included spending time with her adorable dog, Toby. She also enjoyed going out to lunch with her friends, going to the movies and Sunday football. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 30 at 12:30 pm at Groover Funeral Home, 1400 36th Avenue East, Ellenton.
