Josephine C Abroe

Jospehine (Jo) Abroe, 88 of Bradenton FL passed away on June 13, 2022. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Jesse) Ramos, and Doreen (Scott) Wennberg; five grandchildren; Joe Lorenzo, Lokelani Wentzel, Woody Brown, David Wennberg, Kacy Wennberg; 10 great grandchildren and many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Abroe, her parents, Carmen & Santiago Lebron; three brothers, Nelson Carlos, Santiago Lebron, Benny Lebron and her son, Lenny Fridella.

Josephine was born in Manhattan, NY on May 11, 1934. She was the youngest and only girl in her family. In her early days after High school, Jo worked in banking. She later married and started a family and moved to L.I. NY where she raised three children. Jo later became a skilled quality control inspector with a keen eye for imperfections; working for Del Labs in Farmingdale, NY for many years.

Jo and her husband, Don, retired to Bradenton, FL in 1996 and she enjoyed PT work as a caregiver for Seniors. Jo was a member of St Josephs Catholic church and kept busy with Bible studies and women's volunteer groups and was an usher for many years. Her many interests included her love for animals, esp. cats! Gardening, games, and she usually won, music, esp dancing, cooking and hosting her family.

Services will be held Fri. June 24, 2022 at 1pm at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park; 1400 36th Ave E. Ellenton, FL. Officiated by Fr. Rafal Ligenza, St Joseph's Bradenton. Inurnment to follow.
