

Karen was born on March 8, 1953 in New Britain, CT to parents Jacob Bialy & Georgette (Paquette) Bialy. She grew up in Plainville, CT & graduated from Plainville High School, later graduating from Central Connecticut State College. She met her eventual husband, William R Naples Jr in 1983, marrying in 1984. For a short time they resided in Plainville, CT, but permanently moved to a home in the Forestville section of Bristol in 1984, where they would live until moving to FL in 2009. Karen retired from the State of Connecticut, Southbury Training School in 2008. There she was employed as a vocational instructor for the developmentally disabled for over 34 years.
They welcomed a son, Jeffrey in 1986. In Florida, Karen and Bill lived in Cape Coral from 2009 to 2014, also adding a summer home in Springvale, ME during the period of 2011-2014. In 2014 they moved to Ellenton, FL where Karen would spend the remainder of her life. After having moved to FL, Karen continued her selfless & compassionate care for others as a hospice volunteer at Hope Hospice, Lee County, Fl & then on to Tidewell hospice, Manatee County, FL. She leaves behind her husband William R Naples Jr & son, Jeffrey W Naples, both of Ellenton, FL. She also leaves behind her sister, Georgia Camilleri & her husband Victor Camilleri of Johns Island, SC & her brother Wayne Bialy of Hartford, CT. She was predeceased by her parents & her younger sister Jacqueline (Bialy) Pezzulo, (2018) whose husband Joseph Pezzulo still resides in Plainville, CT. She also leaves behind her other brothers & sister in laws, Thomas P Naples & his wife Kathy of Pahrump, NV & Wayne Cyr & his wife Cynthia of Old Lyme, CT, Norman Dubois of Winsted, CT whose wife Lucille (Naples) Dubois passed away in
2023. She also leaves behind sister-in-law Carol Naples of Bristol, CT plus her nieces & nephews,
Eliza Pezzulo of Newington, CT, Jake & Robert Pezzulo of Plainville, CT, Danielle Lamothe of Plainville, CT, Jamie Dubois of Winsted, CT, Thomas Naples of Bristol, CT, Nicholas Pope of Charleston, SC, Matthew Irrizary of Madison, CT & Brooke Kim of Westport, CT. Karen also leaves behind wonderful friends such as "My best friend Terry" Shea, Sue Pinkham, Sue Rajcok, and many others.
She also leaves behind the spouses of her nieces & nephews as well as some grand nieces & nephews, cousins and cousin in laws. A memorial service in Connecticut will be held at a future date to celebrate Karen's life.
