Lawrence James Watson age 76, of Palmetto formally of Port Clinton and Defiance, OH. He was born in Defiance, Oh and graduated from Defiance High School and went to Kent State and Defiance College. Lawrence worked for General Motors for over 30 years and was a member the Elks Club and a football coach in Defiance. He enjoyed fishing with his family and friends, playing cards, and spending time with his family. Lawrence was enjoying retirement life with his family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents and one sister, Elizabeth Riblet. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lois; his children Christine, Debra, Larry, Jim, Jeff and their mother Joanne (Kissner) Watson, children Nancy, Kathy, Rose and Jackie; grandchildren, Adam, Morgan, Blake, Cori, Jesse, Amber, Chuck, Casey; his sisters, Delores Ruggles and Mary Ann Mavis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside Services will be on August 26, 2017 at 11:00am at Riverside Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to be held at the Elks Lodge at 1pm both in Defiance, OH.
