Lillie Mae Snell, 92 of Palmetto, FL, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. Now she is able to spread her wings to fly with the angels. Waiting for her to join them in Spirit were her parents, Edward and Sue Hunter, husband, Robert Snell, son, Burnes Hunter, daughter, Susan Bynum, and great granddaughters Danielle and Catherine Darling.
Mrs. Snell was born on June 27, 1925 in Warrenton, NC. She lived in Dade City and relocated to Manatee County. She was a retired domestic worker. She was a mother and a member of the Pentecostal of Faith Church in Palmetto.
Mrs. Snell is survived by her daughter in law Catherine Hunter; Goddaughters Barbara Youmans and Thomasina Brown; Grandchildren: Janice Hunter, Vincent Hunter, and Steven Darling of Florida, Michelle Scott of Virginia, Jeffery Scott of Arizona, Tony Johnson and Darryl Pemberton, Sr. of North Carolina, and Larry Darling, Jr. of California; God granddaughter, Jonita Robinson. She was also blessed with a host of great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, god brothers, god sisters, god children, god grandchildren, friends, and her church family of Pentecostal of Faith Church.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 6th from 7-9 pm at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Ave. E. Ellenton, FL. Home Going service will be on Saturday, July 7th, at 11:00 am at The Pentecostal of Faith Church, 2211 3rd Ave. E., Palmetto, FL, with Bishop David Belvin officiating. Interment will follow at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton.
Lillie Mae was a kind and gentle woman who quietly touched hundreds of lives. She leaves many family and friends to cherish her memory.
