On Wednesday January 13, 2021 Lola Cannon loving wife, caring mother and doting grandmother passed away age 94 at home, with her family by her side.

Born Lola Naomi McDonald August 24 1926 in Palmetto Florida to Annie Lee Hudson (McDonald) and John Daniel McDonald. She was the youngest daughter with eight sisters two older brothers and one younger.

A life long resident of Palmetto where she met the love of her life, Cornelius DeWitt "Bud" Cannon, Jr. They said their "till death do us part," in front of family and friends at Palmetto Church of Christ, in 1947 and remained faithful to the Lord and each other until his death in 1997.

She lovingly and spiritually raised four children, Suzy Cannon Bilkie(Palmetto), Eddie Cannon(Palmetto), Freddie Cannon(Palmetto Point) and Lori Cannon(Bradenton). And doted on six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by both parents, all her siblings and her handsome devoted husband. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Georgia McDonald and a very large extended family.

After graduating from high school, she worked at the Crab Packing plant, and then the Trophy Nut Packing plant, both on Snead Island. Then in 1970 she went to work for Publix at the Bayshore Gardens store, where she retired after 43 years of service.

She touched everyone she met with her genuine warmth, generosity, beautiful smile and sweet voice.

She will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Visitation and services will be held at Groover Funeral Home At Mansion Memorial

Visitation Friday the 15th, 6 to 8 p.m. Services Saturday the 16th at 10 a.m.
