Lori Annette Farmer

Lori Annette (VanderKooi) Farmer joined her loved ones in Heaven early on the morning of March 14, 2023. She was born to John and Linda VanderKooi on November 22, 1965, and was a lifetime resident of Manatee County. Lori attended Palmetto High School where she was a brilliant student and graduated fourth of her class in 1983.

Some of her favorite hobbies included reading, watching true crime and old west T.V. shows, as well as historical documentaries and thrift shopping with her stepmother and children. She was a loving and dedicated stay-at-home mom to her three daughters, in whom she instilled values of kindness, honesty, compassion and selflessness.

She is survived, loved and remembered by her stepmother, Thelma VanderKooi, her husband of thirty-one years, Michael Farmer and her three daughters; Amber Barron, Katherine Farmer and Caroline Farmer, her two sisters; Tammie Langman and Wendy Wilson, as well as a large extended family.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of her deep love for animals, please send donations in her name to either Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary or your local Humane Society.
