Marguerite Wallace Cincotta

passed peacefully on April 26, 2025, in her home at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Edward

Clyde and Frances Lindsey Wallace. She is survived by her son, Steve Stephens (Debbie), and stepson,

Mark Cincotta. She was pre-deceased by her son, Anthony (Tony) Cincotta), her brother, Lonnie Owen

Wallace and her parents. She also leaves behind her dear friend, Dave Moseley, who was her faithful

companion for many years.

A native of Manatee County, Maggie was born in Wimauma, FL in her grandmother’s brass bed. She

married Vernon Stephens, Sr and was blessed with her first son, Vernon (Steve) Stephens, Jr. She later

married Joseph Cincotta and had her second son, Anthony (Tony) Cincotta.

From an early age, Maggie learned that you have to work hard to get ahead. She told many stories of her

mother’s expectations of completing her chores. When she married Joe Cincotta, she became a farmer’s

wife farming tomatoes and selling them in a roadside market. Maggie could tell you about any plant and

how to take care of it. She could give any botanist a run for their money with her knowledge.

She loved her family and friends and demonstrated it every day. Her kindness and compassion was beyond

compare and was always there if anyone needed her. She was an incredible cook and made sure everyone

in her world was well fed and cared for.

Every year for the past 30 years, Maggie and Steve had a mother/son trip to Branson, MO. She loved

country music. They would see two to three shows a day while there. This was a special time for them.

She resided in Ellenton for several years before moving to her downtown condo in Bradenton, where she

made certain everything was well maintained. It was her joy to work on the landscaping as she said that

was the first impression anyone got of the property and her knowledge was invaluable. It wasn’t unusual to

see Maggie digging in the dirt and going barefoot around the property. She called the lobby entrance her

parlor. When you walked in you could tell the lobby had Maggie’s touch.

Maggie was known for her tasteful bedazzled appearance. Maggie always looked beautiful and her

trademark were her beautiful cotton white hair, red nails and lipstick.

Maggie will be missed by all who knew her but has graced heaven with her presence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Pier 22 on June 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM for family and friends.
