Maurice "Moe" Auger

Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Laurier & Antoinette (Beliveau) Auger. He was the beloved husband of Lori (Poisson), with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. He is survived by 2 loving sons, Kyle Auger and wife, Lizzie and granddaughter, Aubrey, of North Smithfield and Kevin Auger and girlfriend, Teresa of Playa Del Rey, California. In addition to his children, he is survived by his sisters Jeannine Auger and Diane (Tom) Blakeney, his brothers Richard (Monique), and Marc (Patricia) and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Moe was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving in the Viet Nam war.

Moe enjoyed family, cruising, boating, barefoot water skiing, snow skiing, reading, watching football and F1 and Nascar racing and he especially enjoyed driving and racing his Porsches. He was a member of the Porsche Club of America, Northeast Region. Moe also volunteered for the North Smithfield Soccer Association as a soccer referee and he was on the Soccer Board for many years.

He worked in sales for several Chevrolet companies, and also worked for 3M, Imation, Kodak, Howtek and retiring from Philips Healthcare Patient Care in 2011.

There will be a Celebration of Life mass at St John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church Street, Slatersville, RI 02876 on Saturday September 19th at 11:00 am and the family will begin receiving guests at 10:15 am in the church prior to the mass. An outdoor military tribute to Moe will follow.
