Michael Terry Amlong

Michael Terry Amlong, 74, of Parrish, Florida, passed away on March 27, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, and Papa. He was born on December 23, 1950 to Guinn and Iris Amlong. He is preceded in death by Brenda Kay Amlong, his wife of 42 years, and is survived by his daughter, Carla Kelly and husband Mike; son, Jacob Amlong and wife Abby; and five grandchildren, Mikayla Kelly and Josiah, Elijah, Joshua, and Hannah Amlong.

After serving in the Army, Michael worked as a foreman at Whisenant Farms until retirement. He was a talented jack of all trades. It seemed there was nothing he could not fix or build. Michael served as a deacon in his church and taught Sunday school classes alongside his wife. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, or simply sitting by a fire. Being with family was a priority for Michael.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, with visitation starting at 1:30pm and a service starting at 3:00pm at Dry Prairie Baptist Church, 40849 St Rd 62, Duette, FL 34219. A meal will follow at the church’s fellowship hall. Michael’s final resting place will be Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, 26604 FL 64, Myakka City, FL 34251.
