Patricia Ann Andress

Born on July 14, 1938, in Butler, New Jersey, Patricia lived a life defined by love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was married in 1960 to the love of her life, James Howard Andress, with whom she shared 66 beautiful years of marriage.

Patricia was a loving wife, a devoted mother to her three children, and a proud grandmother— affectionately known as “Grandpatty” to her grandkids. She is survived by her beloved husband, James; her children, Laurie, Jimmy, and Rebecca; her grandchildren, James III, Taylor, Madison, and Miranda; her grand kitty Brady; her siblings, Dianne Powell and Dan Gormley; and her loyal and faithful caregiver, Nora, who held a special place in her heart.

Patricia had an exceptionally cheerful and fun personality and spread joy wherever she went. She had a gift for making others feel welcome—always greeting people with a warm smile, a listening ear, and often a bit of laughter. To many at Suncoast Baptist Church, she was simply known as “Aunt Pat,” a beloved fixture in the nursery whose joy and laughter made her a favorite among the littlest members of the church.

She found peace and happiness in caring for those she loved, in gardening, long walks, solving puzzles, and birdwatching—simple pleasures that reflected her gentle spirit. During her children’s younger years, she could often be found behind the wheel of the family station wagon—fondly known as the “Pattywagon”—

shuttling her crew wherever they needed to go, always with patience and good humor.

Selfless by nature, Patricia spent her life caring for others, putting their needs before her own without hesitation. Her deep faith was a guiding force in her life, and she found great comfort in her church and in reading her Bible each day.

Patricia’s presence was a source of comfort, laughter, and steady love. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and quiet strength will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
