Sarasota - Rebekah J. Hatmaker, 31, passed into God's hands on Thursday, October 9, 2014. She was a devoted daughter, sister, grand-daughter, niece, and aunt. As a Christian young lady, Rebekah lived her life striving to be pleasing the Lord. She graduated from George Jenkins High School in Lakeland, FL in 2001. She also graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA degree in 2005. Rebekah is survived by her mother, Jaime Hatmaker-Utz, father James Hatmaker, sister, Sarah Hatmaker-Rutledge, grandparents, Joe and Jean Byrd, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial services will be held at The Tabernacle Church, 4141 Desoto Road, Sarasota, FL on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, ,memorial gifts may be made in memory of Rebekah to The Tabernacle Church building fund.
