Rica was born January 19, 1970 in Soldotna, Alaska to Richard and Judith Swanson. She loved spending time with her family, fishing in Kachemak Bay, warm vacations and sandy beaches.
Rica is survived by her two sons, Owen and Hunter Phillips of Anchorage, AK, her parents Richard and Judith Swanson of Parrish Florida, sister Tamara Passe and spouse Bruce of Kenai, AK, brother Rick Swanson and spouse Linda of Walla Walla, WA, sister Brittany Guido and spouse Evan of Parrish FL, nieces, Rica Howarth of Pittsburgh PA, Mariah Martin and spouse Mike of Hendersonville, NC, Raelynn and Joslynn Passe of Kenai AK, Olivia, Savannah and nephew Hudson Guido, of Parrish Florida.
She is preceded in death by her Grandmother and namesake, Rica Niemi Swanson, and Grandfather Frank Y Swanson of Kenai, AK, Grandmother Florence Burt of Soldotna, AK and Grandfather Paul Hatfield Burt of Arlington, WA.
